Build New Component - Step 2

Note: If you are building a component from an existing cell, the Cells list will be enabled allowing you to specify which cell properties the new component will inherit from. A graphical image of the active cell is displayed in the Preview window as you scroll through the list.
  1. Select the Cell Library to be used for the component from the drop down list. (i.e. Equipment.cel for equipment components, Instrument.cel for instruments etc.)

A preview of the component is displayed in the Preview window.

  2. By default, the Cell Name for the component is the same as the class name defined in Step 1. This can be changed if desired.
  3. Click the Origin button and pick a point on the component to serve as that component's insertion point.
Note: If no Origin point is defined, it will default to the center of the component.
Note: When creating a component from an existing cell, the Origin option is not displayed as the new component will inherit the origin point from the selected cell.
  4. Press Next to continue, or Back to return to the previous step.
